It has taken a long time to track down "Frederick William Leeder", the name provided to me by my mother. He was born William Frederick Leeder, but appears to have used his middle name later in life.

On all the birth records of his children, including Reginald Arthur he is listed as either William F or William Frederick. As an example here is the birth record for Reginald:

The only birth record I could find with a John P and Ann Leeder was the following, however after receiving a copy of the baptismal record, I found that the name listed was William Henry. In addition, according to this marriage and death certificates, he was born two years earlier than this record suggests. I can find no other record of his birth.
