In Home Photo Session
I offer children's portrait photo sessions in the comfort and privacy of your own home. Over the years I have found that conducting sessions in my client's homes allows me to capture the best photographs. It allows me to work around nap schedules, the occasional temper tantrum, outfit changes, and provides you with easy access to all your child's favorite toys, music and other smile inducing distractions.What to expect
I will come to your home and bring lights, backdrop, reflectors, etc. The photo session, which will probably last around 2 hours including setting up and packing up. It may be shorter, or slightly longer, depending on your child's moods at the time.
I'll need a space in which to set up. Places I've used in the past have been in front of a fireplace, or along a wall in the living room, or a bedroom. My backdrop stands need to be about 6-8 feet apart, and the lights will be about 6-8 feet in front of the subject. I'll also need to utilize a piece of furniture such as an ottoman, sofa, or chair, for you child to sit upon. I will drape the backdrops over them so they'll be hidden. I'll also need access to an outlet for the lights (I'll be bringing a power strip with me, so one outlet is fine).
The photos will look best if your child is wearing plain solid colors, rather than prints or patterns - patterns tend to be distracting, so have a think about what you'd like them to wear.
Pricing
The cost for an in home photo session is $450 which includes the following:- An in home photo session at a time convenient for you and your child/children, and no cancellation fee should your child be unhappy or unwell on the day, just let me know and we'll reschedule.
- A web page including a selection of the photos from the shoot (so you can send the link to family and friends) which will be hosted on my site for a minimum of six months.
- A cd of the full resolution images from the session so that you can order your own prints for yourself and your family.
- A beautiful Kolo album containing 20 of the best photograph from the session in a larger 8-1/2 x 11 format.
- Four 8x10 prints of your choice.
Turn around time for the web page is usually 3-4 days. I will mail you the cd and album within 2-3 weeks, however rush requests for the cd can be accommodated upon request.
