John Palmer LEEDER senior and Blanche Case came to Australia on the 'James Gibb', arriving in Sydney on the 9th June 1849, along with their five UK born children. Thanks to Frank Leeder for providing this information. Another update from Frank dated October 13 2009.... Hi Nicola, Have returned after a wonderfull trip to England and Greece,unfortunately my research on JPL was not very succesful as I was not able to confirm his place of birth,everything points to Scarning but the records show no baptism at Scarning at that time,unfortunately no birth records were recorded in those times,whether he was not baptised or not we cant tell so for now it is a dead end. Have enclosed a photo of All Saints Great Fransham as I did confirm his marriage to Blanche Case on the 7th April 1830. at the said church .
